Two
Programs to Choose From Plano Home School
Academy offers two different programs to fit different needs. You can
select which one you want. 1.
Traditional
Extension Program: The student
mails in their work every two weeks, has it graded by a teacher, and
then the work is returned to the student. This is a very structured
program with help and support from the teacher. 2.
“Parent
is the Teacher” Program:
The
parent is the teacher. The work is graded by the parent at home as
it is being completed. Then the work is mailed to the school at the
end of the year and the student will receive a transcript from Plano
Home School Academy. Please click on the above links and read about each program in more detail to decide which program is right for you. We use state adopted curriculum, the same curriculum found in most public schools in the United States.

Plano Home School Academy is an accredited home school program for students in the 4th - 8th grades. Plano Home School Academy offers education for students throughout the U.S.A. as well as in foreign countries. We have certified teachers grading the students' work and offer assistance, via phone or email, for students that have questions and need help. A student enrolled in Plano Home School Academy will study the basic curriculum, English, Literature, Math, Science, Spelling, and Social Studies. If a student wants to continue with our school for High school, the name of the school changes to North Texas Academy (grades 9-12). Our students work from "State adopted" curriculum, which means it is the curriculum found in most public schools in the United States. The student will have new textbooks to work from and the check-sheets (assignment sheets) will correspond with the textbook. We have two programs the parent can choose from: Traditional Extension or "Parent Is the Teacher". |
